Yesterday, I attended one of the most awaited, and the most important graphic design event of the year! The Graphika Manila 09!

Not that I missed this event last year, but I feel that this is where I can get live inspirations from successful graphic and multimedia artists! Graphika Manila is not about tutorials, not also about the best and latest technologies, but its about loving your design profession more. It brings enthusiasm back from the early days of our design career.

It also made me have a look at how active the design industry is. Often, I feel small and centered when I get bored in designing, but when I saw the crowd yesterday, it made me feel how wonderful my job is.

Graphika Manila reminds design people about our real responsibility as designer and provides much case studies as to how others are doing it. It gives us a sense of encouragement to push our limits and pursue our goals. Graphika Manila also has made some people feel humble, when suddenly they're in front of a speaker who was part of the team who brought Iron Man to the big screen!

I felt tired after the event but got home very inspired. I was left with a question - how do we take part in contributing to the Philippine graphic design industry
